Jay Lutz has a broad background in general management and human resource management in both small and large company settings, union and non-union shops, and in the public and private sectors. As administrative vice president at a large chemical manufacturer, Jay helped to manage the company’s growth from a small business to a large, internationally-known manufacturer. He had complete responsibility for the human resource management of this company as a part of the corporate management leadership team.
Jay was also president of a State College-based staffing firm for ten years prior to joining with Sandra Cramer and Jeffrey Krauss to start The HR Office, Inc. His professional reputation is well known in our geographic area for his knowledge, skills and ability for talent management, executive recruiting, staffing and helping people find the right job.
Jay has served on many organizations’ board of directors as community service has always been important to him. He is a founding board member of Centre Volunteers in Medicine, a free medical/dental clinic in State College, PA serving the uninsured and underinsured of Centre County. In addition, Jay is a member of and has been active in the Central Keystone Valley HR Professionals for more than 40 years and has held several positions of leadership, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the American Staffing Association. He has been a guest speaker at The Pennsylvania State University and South Hills School of Business and Technology.
Jay is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development.
